Wet Nurse

The say breast milk is the perfect food for baby’s mind and body. Studies show that children who nurse may be healthier and happier and, if they breast-feed for longer than seven months, have a higher IQ. Equally important, many believe, is the intense bond that develops between mother and child.
Which is one reason most moms don’t want to share the experience with anyone else. Yet wet-nursing (hiring a woman to breast-feed your baby), which most of the is making a minor comeback among young moms.
I watched Jessica Soho Reports in GMA last night about Wet Nursing. It was the first time I’ve heard about this. I got to tell you, this kind of creeps me out, is the use of wet nurses. Would you pay someone to nurse your baby? A wet nurse is a woman who breastfeeds someone else’s baby. Could it be this bonding time between mom and baby is being increasingly outsourced?
Here’s a lot of comments from a doctor’s and public point of view.

“if they breast-feed for longer than seven months, have a higher IQ.” ive seen new studies which challenge this fact. This is because most mothers who breast fed their child have higher IQ. The child had high IQ becoz of genetic factor, not bcoz of breast feeding

Wet nursing freaks me out as well. And it’s not only because of psychological matters, but also because of hygienical issues.
