What makes you sad?
By tonet on May 30, 2007 in Life and Experience
Feeling down? Got the blues? You’re not alone. Everyone gets sad. Yes, everyone you’ve ever met. Some people have sad feelings just once in a while, and others may have sad feelings pretty often.
When you’re in a sad mood, it may feel like it will last forever, but usually feelings of sadness don’t last very long - a few hours or maybe a day or two. A deeper, more intense kind of sadness that lasts a lot longer is called depression

There are many things I dislike in this world, but one that makes me really sad is when I dissapoint someone I love. There is nothing that hurts more than trying so hard to be your best and ending up dissapointing someone. What would life be like without dissapointments? I can only imagine.
When you hurt someone you love is something that makes you sad, but also if someone who loves you hurts you is when it REALLY makes you sad. Other than that, according to my own personal experience, I get sad whenever I try my best to be nice and polite to everyone and in the end, I am taken advantage of due to my politeness. That is what makes me sad…being taken advantage of for doing something positive.
I don’t really like to think about these issues, but I’ll list them out if I can:
IT MAKES ME SAD WHEN…
*Seeing a man abuses a woman in public.
*When someone was hurt emotionally or physically.
*When I miss a prayer and I was getting ready to do it.
*When I taken God for granted at times.
*When I don’t go to church on Sundays.
*Seeing poverty in my own country.
*Seeing poverty in other parts of the world.
*Seeing children in third world countries
*When poor people beg for food.
*If someone I love hurts me.
*If I hurt someone I love, unkowingly.
*Seeing someone cry.
*Seeing a GUY cry will make ME cry.
*If I ever saw my parents cry.
*A hungry animal or abused animal.
*A sick animal that can’t get well.
*Someone who is helpless trying to do something and no one around pays any attention or even bothers to help out
*A blind kid crying in the middle of Six Flags who can’t find his dad
*Seeing someone in pain and you can’t do anything about it
*Seeing elderly in homes who’s children will never visit
*Knowing that you have 1000 peso in your pocket makes you richer than two thirds of the whole world
*Someone hurts my feelings and they aren’t even aware of it
Yes, sometimes we dont take our own advice, but sometimes when we give others advice, we are also reminding ourselves that we should follow that, its like our subconcious mind is speaking to us!
Those are many reasons to be sad, but just because they make us sad, does not mean we can’t do something about it, because everything starts with a small thing, so we can make a difference, even if its small by trying to change those things….We can start planting little seeds and they can grow bigger and better. ![]()
