PLDT myDSL Vs. Smartbro
By tonet on Jan 2, 2008 in Technology and Gadgets
I really had a bad experience before with PLDT myDSL. In two occurrences, I have no internet connection for almost a week. I work at home, and it’s very inconvenient for me to work on internet cafes. When it got down again, I rush in to the nearby Smart Wireless Center, and applied for a Smartbro Plan 999. I never had internet disconnection from Smartbro for now. I was about to cut my subscription with PLDT myDSL but I was surprised that they increases bandwidth allocation. I did a speed test from the same server. Here are the results.
Smartbro Plan 999
PLDT myDSL Plan 999
I’m keeping both now so that I have options if one has no connectivity.

I have heard that the disconnection problem end of last year was because PLDT was upgrading … and as far I am concerned … I think Smart is a sister co. of PLDT, therefore they have same source of internet … just not sure

Yes, SMART and PLDT are business partners. The only difference between them is that SMART uses their wireless line while PLDT uses their telephone line.

Hi Master Bogus, I prefer PLDT myDSL 999 (landline) because it has greater bandwidth allocation than Smartbroadband.

Hi tonet, as you have mentioned you worked from home, mind me asking if your company is hiring right now? Because I am a mom who prefers to work from home. If you can provide me details about it I’ll really appreciate. Thanks in advance.

Thanks!

Hi Jhenn, I’ve been working at home full time for 2 yrs already. The compensation is great since you are directed to the client (dollars) and of course no tax. You should be careful in choosing a client since they are a lot of scam online. I suggest you may check the company profile if they have fraud reports here: http://www.ripoffreport.com and http://www.fraud.org/info/repoform.htm Also, there are some clients who also works at home which can’t provide you fraud reports so you just have to be careful. I have my full trust in the company I’m working right now. They are very professional and pays salary on time.
Thanks for dropping by!
