Janina San Miguel, a 17 year old a contestant in the Bb. Pilipinas beauty pageant that was held in March 9, 2008. She grabbed the awards for Best Swimsuit and Best in Long Gown. She was doing great the entire competition, until the interview came. At least she was confident. 
Maybe nervous or stage fright took over her. Sana tinagalog ya nalang.

Why did you join? “To gain a lot of experiences, new friends and opportunities” “Bata pa talaga ako, dream ko na ito talaga. Nakikita ko sa TV and I think it’s a nice experience. I knew then that I would try it.”
What makes you stand out from the rest? “My confidence and my personality, even if this is my first time in a big pageant. I was first runner-up in Miss UE.”
Even though the whole embarrassment, she won Bb Pilipinas World 2008.

you dont deserve to represent our country to miss world beauty pageant come october..7 months is not even enough for your prepaation in the contest..pero, anjan na yan..study, and make it a habit to read and read and read (wag tagalog) during your free time..yon na lang ang kulang sa yo dahil maganda ka na.

irerepresent m ang pilipinas. tas hayy… parana pinagtatawanan ka na ng tao. pero ok pa rin sau. hindi ka ba nahihiya? kung hidi man, kami hiyang hiya kami sa iyo.
napapraktis ang english, pero ang pagiging smart at witty, hindi. gawin bang dahilan ang pagiging 17 kaya hindi magaling magenglish, gaga talaga.. kahit sabihin niyong, e beauty contest naman yan e, hindi quiz show. e xempre naman, kahit papano sana naiintindihan ng contestant ung tanong at jahit papanu marunong iexpress ung nasasaisip niya.

Duh!!! she may win the title of Ms.World by the judges who voted her..but people of the philippines are not dumb and know that she dont deserve the crown.Hindi yung english nya ang pinaguusapan lang dito kundi kung paano nya sinagot ang tanong.walang laman at lalong nagpainis ay ng sinabi nya na hindi nya narinig ang tanong..Inulit nya pa ang tanong….lier.

Ang dami namang grammar police dito. Oo na magaling na kayo mag-ingles. Sobra naman kayo makabira sa kababayan natin. Does one really need to fluently speak in English for her to win a beauty title? Di ba madami nang nanalo sa Miss U, Miss World, an Miss International na hindi naman English speakers. Suportahan na lang natin sya imbes na hamakin. Wala na tayong magagawa dahil sya na ang kakatawan sa Pilipinas sa darating na Miss World. I have a feeling that she will be our country’s first Miss World. Go Janina!
