Workshy’s Workshy - Unforgettable Hits Collections Album works surprisingly well…Workshy never fails to deliver. The songs are very cozy and delicate, mellow, and smooth.

For those who haven’t heard their music, Workshy is probably best classified as a soul-jazz-pop crossover. Having said that, the magic of this album is that it’s really become difficult to classify. The influences and genres don’t blend together - they just disappear like they’ve never existed, leaving you with the magic. My favorites are upbeat music like Say a Little Prayer, If I ever Lose This Heaven, Love Is The Place To Be, and Light of Day.

Often categorized as Pop-Jazz, here in Asia they are quite popular(specially Japan). While Workshy may not have consistently great material (i.e music, lyrics) found in any single album. Chrysta Jones’ voice is definitely something worth keep coming back for (also the reason I have Soul Love, Allure, Under the Influence albums in my collection).
